Patrick Barber

Art Direction and Design

One of my first tasks as creative director of Timber Press was to oversee the rebranding of the company. Working with branding consultant Jelly Helm Studio and designer Fredrik Averin, I recast the iconic tree mark as a singular entity, meant to interact with the publisher’s abundant photography. The mark worked well on its own, too, in its limited applications on print and digital collateral, but its true home was the spines of the books, and that’s where it really shines.
